How to Get the Expose Weakness Rune
As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.
Original Discovery Method
To get the Expose Weakness rune, head to the Badlands and kill Dustbelcher Brutes and Dustbelcher Ogres until one drops a Primitive Drawing. This item will start the quest Terror of the Desert Skies.
Take the drawing to Hemet Nesingwary at the Neswingwary Camp in Stranglethorn Vale (35.7, 10.8). He’ll give you the next quest, also called Terror of the Desert Skies, as well as an Empty Bait Cage that you can use to capture a critter. Find any critter (squirrel, rabbit, etc.) and capture it with the cage.
Head back to Badlands to the hills in the southwest and look for a Large Nest (22.4, 66.7). Approach from the northwest side of the outcropping to find it. Use the captured critter here as bait to summon Gharrik, a level 40 beast. Kill it to loot a Crimson Trophy Quill. Kiting makes this fight easy.
Take this item back to Hemet Nesingwary to receive your Rune of Expose Weakness, which you can right-click to learn the rune.
can confirm, the primitive drawing also drops from the stonevault bonesnappers
