This guide will cover how to get the Hammer of the Righteous Rune for Paladins in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Hammer of the Righteous Rune
As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.
Original Discovery Method
Before you can start the quest to get Hammer of the Righteous, you will first need to have obtained the Fanaticism Rune. When you’ve done that, head to Felwood and use the rope at 43, 57 to climb up and speak with Aeonus.
Go through all of Aeonus’s dialogue and then talk to Gregory. At the end of his dialogue he will offer you the quest Materials of Significance. This quest will have you collect the following items:
- Fiery Infernal Core x3
- Looted from Infernals and Enthropic Beasts in Felwood
- Shimmering Grave Dust
- Picked up from a centaur grave after Princess Theradras in Maraudon
- Triple-Brewed Molten Lager
- Purchased from the Grim Guzzler vendor inside Blackrock Depths for 2 gold 50 silver
- Symbol of Faith
- Given by Brave Stonetorch at Southshore in Hillsbrad Foothills (67, 14)
When you have all of the above items, head back to Gregory in Felwood to turn in the quest and receive your rune.

This rune is awful to get because of the Grim Guzzler part. You can do it by yourself with the help of a Warlock Soulstone. You will need 2x Lesser Invisibility Potions, 1x Swiftness potion and the Shadowforge Key. The key is the hardest part. Once you have it, do what is stated in the comments on https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=220168/triple-brewed-molten-lager#comments this page. With the soulstone, you don’t need the engineering items. Hope this helps someone in the same situation I was in earlier that can’t get to the Grim Guzzler by regular group means.
