This guide will cover how to get the Renewed Hope rune for Priests in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Renewed Hope Rune

As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.

Original Discovery Method

To get the Renewed Hope rune, you will need to be level 30 and have the Mind Control spell trained.

Head to Sar’theris Strand on the northern shore of Desolace, found directly west of the Thunder Axe Fortress. Alliance can reach it by following the road southwest from Nijel’s Point. Horde can swim north from Shadowprey Village. Levitate can be useful here since it lets you walk on water, but you will need to be level 34 to learn it and you will need to have Light Feathers in your inventory.

Once you reach the location, kill Slitherblade naga until you loot an Unsettling Vision. Pretty much any of the naga in the area can drop the item, but Slitherblade Nagas have the highest drop rate. These mobs are all in the 32-34 level range.

After you acquire the item, you must use Mind Control on a Slitherblade Tide Priestess. While controlling the Priestess, target yourself and use the Meditation of the Abyss spell. Once you acquire the buff, you must quickly use the Unsettling Vision item to gain the rune, as the buff only lasts for 30 seconds.
