This guide will cover how to get the Shadowflame rune for Warlocks in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Shadowflame Rune
As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.
Original Discovery Method
To get the Shadowflame rune, you must be at least level 32 and have the Shadow Ward spell trained. You will be fighting a level 38 Elite, so you may need to bring a friend or wait until you are a bit higher level.
Find the Sacrificial Altar at Shadowbreak Ravine in the southeast corner of Desolace (81, 80). Activate your Shadow Ward spell and interact with the altar. This will cause you to take shadow damage over time, so you may need some additional buffs or consumables to survive.
Wait for the channel to finish and a level 38 Elite named Seductress of Ceyna will spawn. Kill her to loot your Rune of Shadowflames.
