This guide will cover how to get the Taste for Blood Rune for Warriors in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Taste for Blood Rune

To get your hands on the Taste for Blood rune you will need to rebuild a Golem found in Searing Gorge — Iodax the Obliterator. As a Warrior, you are of course only rebuilding him so that you get the opportunity to fight him yourself.

You will need to find four limbs, scattered around the caves in Searing Gorge, before bringing them to Iodax’s platform found in the east of the zone.

  • Right Arm
    • Enter the second cave entrance from the east (48, 46).
    • Look for the arm down by the lava (49.4, 37.1).
    • Note that the Left Foot is in the same cave.
  • Left Arm
    • Enter the middle of the five cave entrances in The Cauldron (46, 50).
    • Follow the ledge around to get the foot on the other side of the chasm (42.6, 30.4).
  • Right Foot
    • Head inside the easternmost cave entrance marked on the map (50, 45).
    • You’ll find the foot inside the first large room (43, 32.3).
  • Left Foot
    • Enter the second cave entrance from the east (48, 46).
    • Go all the way to the back to find the foot (42.6, 30.4).
    • Note that the Right Arm is in the same cave.

Finally, you can find the head in the hills east of The Cauldron, above ground (65, 45). Bring all the pieces to him to summon Iodax the Obliterator, a level 50 Elite with almost 12000 health. You may need to enlist help from a friend or two depending upon your level and gear. Kill and loot him for your brand new Rune of the Bloodthirsty!

Thrall is the best Warcraft character; tell me I'm wrong. Long-time Blizzard fan who thinks that gnomes are the worst type of people and rogues don't tip (except into your spine). Flying mounts should never have been added to the game, and playing 12 hours of WoW a day just makes you "dedicated."
