This guide will cover how to get the Wild Strikes rune for Druids in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Wild Strikes Rune

As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.

Original Discovery Method

To obtain the Wild Strikes rune, head to Grimtotem Post in southeastern Stonetalon Mountains. This will be a bit of a trek for Alliance players as you’ll have to pass through Ashenvale to get there.

Kill enemies in this area until one of them drops an Idol of the Wild. Here are the mobs that can drop the idol:

Once you have the idol, right-click it to equip it in your relic slot. To activate it, you’ll need to heal 10 different beasts. These can be Hunter pets, Druids in Cat Form or Bear Form, or Shamans in Ghost Wolf form. They must be missing health so the spell actually heals them. One trick for this is to cast Mark of the Wild (rank 2 or higher) to increase their health. You can also cast Rejuvenation on yourself and then take damage while shapeshifted and that will count as 1/10.

You will gain a stack of the Building Inspiration buff for each success. Note that you will lose this buff if you die or swap out your idol. When your buff changes to Inspired, the idol can be activated. Open your character window and right-click the idol again to get the rune.

How do you even heal 10 different beasts? Hunter pets? Other Druids in cat/bearform?
