This guide will cover how to get the Wyvern Strike rune for Hunters in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

This discovery method formerly taught the Invigoration ability, but it was changed in Phase 4.

How to Get the Wyvern Strike Rune

As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.

Original Discovery Method

The method for discovering this rune is shared with the Druid’s Survival Instincts.

To get the Wyvern Strike rune, follow the road into Swamp of Sorrows from Deadwind Pass and speak with Amaryllis Webb (25.2, 54.6) to purchase an Etymology Starter Kit for 50 silver. Open it to get a net.

Take the net to the logging camp near Zul’Gurub in Stranglethorn Vale and use it to catch an Arbor Tarantula, a tiny bug on a tree stump (45.2, 19.6), to loot an Arbor Tarantula Specimen.

Next, head to the stable at Northfold Manor in Arathi Highlands to catch another bug there, a Hay Weevil (30.8, 28.6), and loot a Hay Weevil Specimen.

Finally, go to the Kodo Graveyard in Desolace and catch another bug, a Flesh Picker (52.6, 59.8), to loot a Flesh Picker Specimen.

Return to Amaryllis Webb in Swamp of Sorrows with all three bugs to get your rune.
