Zul’Gurub was the first catch-up raid of Vanilla World of Warcraft, offering some easier barriers to entry for new raiding characters with a smaller raid size and loot that falls somewhere between dungeon gear and endgame raid gear in terms of power. Season of Discovery brings it back with new and revamped loot as well as overhauled item sets and enchantments for every class and role.

Zul’Gurub Class Sets

Unlike the Tier 1 and Tier 2 armor sets, the class sets in Zul’Gurub have not been expanded to include multiple roles or specializations for each class. Instead these sets have been tweaked to support more niche builds for each class that aren’t supported by other gear sets, such as Shockadin and Gladiator builds.

The trinkets are obtained by collecting an item from each of the four Edge of Madness bosses. Neck pieces can only be acquired by reaching Exalted with the Zandalar Tribe. The other three pieces require turning in the appropriate token, all of which have a chance to drop from Jin’do the Hexxer, Broodlord Mandokir, or any of the High Priests. All classes have bracer tokens, but the other slots are not all the same:

Here are the sets for each class.

Wow Druid Icon Druid: Zandalar Haruspex

Wow Hunter Icon Hunter: Zandalar Predator

Wow Mage Icon Mage: Zandalar Illusionist

Wow Paladin Icon Paladin: Zandalar Freethinker

Wow Priest Icon Priest: Zandalar Confessor

Wow Rogue Icon Rogue: Zandalar Madcap

Wow Shaman Icon Shaman: Zandalar Augur

Wow Warlock Icon Warlock: Zandalar Demoniac

Wow Warrior Icon Warrior: Zandalar Vindicator

Bloodied Weapons

Many of the weapons that drop in ZG have Bloodied variations in Season of Discovery. These weapons only drop when you defeat Hakkar with all five High Priests alive. These items have a special glowing red appearance, so everyone will be able to see that you have one!

Class Head & Leg Enchantments

Like the class sets, ZG’s class-specific head and leg enchantments have been expanded to include every class and role. The method of acquiring them is to bring a Punctured Voodoo Doll of your class along with a Primal Hakkari Idol to Zanza the Restless inside the raid.
