For most people, simply clearing all of the fifteen bosses in Naxxramas at level 60 in vanilla is enough of a challenge. Not for this guild, though: <ACTIVE> is a Classic Era speedrunning guild on the EU server Firemaw. They formed about one year ago, and, after months of practicing, they have cleared the 40man version of Naxxramas in a record time of 55:03. To put this in perspective, an average clear time is 2-3 hours. A respectable clear time is 90 minutes or less.
However, the closer a guild attempts to get to the coveted sub-60 minute clear, the more difficult it is to shave off minutes, let alone seconds. Only 45 guilds were able to do a sub-60 minute Naxx, out of the 20,000 guilds who stepped foot in Naxx prior to the release of TBC.
I also want to to give a special shoutout to the guild <Fun Police>. They were the first guild to reach sub-60 Naxx (outside of China).
The world record Naxx done prior to Classic Era was 43:29 by the Chinese guild <Noobs Alliance>. While the Classic Era speedrunning community is small, it is only a matter of time before guilds like <ACTIVE> close the gap and maybe even beat the other records. In the meantime, they are likely to be number one on Era for quite some time.
