Realm Names Changed for WoW Classic Anniversary Realms

The previously announced names for WoW Classic Anniversary Edition realms have been changed, with realms in each region receiving their own unique names. Here are the realms you can expect to see at launch and the origins of those names:

North America

  • Dreamscythe (PvE/Normal)
    • Weaver and Dreamscythe are a pair of green dragon bosses in the Temple of Atal’Hakkar dungeon, also known as the Sunken Temple.
  • Nightslayer (PvP)
  • Doomhowl (Hardcore)
    • Urok Doomhowl is a special summoned boss in the Lower Blackrock Spire dungeon.

Europe

Australia

North America

When new Anniversary realms open tomorrow, you’ll have a choice among the following in this region:

Dreamscythe (Normal)
Nightslayer (PvP)
Doomhowl (Hardcore)

In Australia, we’ll open one mighty realm:
Maladath (PvP)

Europe

Thunderstrike (Normal)
Spineshatter (PvP)
