Monday’s hotfixes are in for Season of Discovery following last week’s launch of Phase 5. The big news is that the changes to Arathi Basin and Warsong Gulch which granted 2 Marks of Honor for a loss instead of 1 have been reverted.

This probably won’t come as a surprise to anyone who saw the effects of the change over the weekend. Players began throwing matches to get back in the queue more quickly and maximize their Honor gains. That’s not something Blizzard wants to see happening, so they’ll need to go back to the drawing board if they want to find a way to get more players to queue for these smaller battlegrounds when Alterac Valley offers better Honor gains.

There are a few bug fixes included too. Notably, Vaelastrasz’s Burning Adrenaline debuff should do a bit less damage, since it was apparently being amplified by players’ stats.

Here you’ll find a list of hotfixes that address various issues related to World of Warcraft: The War Within, Cataclysm Classic, Season of Discovery, WoW Classic Era, and Hardcore. Some of the hotfixes below take effect the moment they were implemented, while others may require scheduled realm restarts to go into effect. Please keep in mind that some issues cannot be addressed without a client-side patch update. This list will be updated as additional hotfixes are applied.

Season of Discovery

  • Losses in Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin again award 1 Mark of Honor (was 2).
    • Developers’ notes: We’ve ended this experiment, as it provided too much incentive to lose quickly and get into another match.
  • Blessing of Shirvallah should no longer buff the bad guys in Zul’Gurub.
  • Addressed an issue that could cause the Cenarion Hold hitching post to be unusable during the hunter quest “Everyone Knows That Bugs Can’t Fly.”
  • Blackwing Lair
    • Fixed an issue that occasionally prevented the Trials from triggering after a soft reset in Blackwing Lair.
    • Vaelastrasz the Corrupt
      • Players’ own bonus damage modifiers will no longer amplify the damaging effects of Burning Adrenaline.
