As previously mentioned by Aggrend, class tuning can be expected to happen weekly for the time being. This time around we have changes to Mages, Paladins, Rogues, and Shamans.
Two new Tailoring recipes are also being added. These are Invoker’s Cord, and Invoker’s Mantle, both are available from the trainers closest to Ashenvale, Orgrimmar, and Darnassus. These items will both grant Spell Power, but the exact details are yet to be revealed.
Starting with Mages, Living Flame will now benefit from and consume Arcane Blast. This means you can potentially increase the damage of Living Flame by up to 60%, allowing for a monstrous AoE.
Both Paladins and Shamans have had their ability to grant mana to their raid improved. Seal of Martyrdom now grants 20% of the damage taken from the seal as mana, and Shamanistic Rage will now grant the raid 20% of the mana the Shaman receives, instead of 10%.
Avenger’s Shield will now also be considered a Snare, instead of a Daze effect. This means that abilities that remove movement impairs like Blessing of Freedom and Druid forms will correctly remove the slow.
Rogues Blade Dance will now also grant a flat 10% Parry Chance regardless of the Combo Points spent. This should allow Rogues to get their defensive layer up and running earlier, preventing very spikey pulls.
We’re making the following tuning adjustments with weekly scheduled maintenance in each region:
Mage
- Living Flame now benefits from and consumes Arcane Blast.
Paladin
- Avenger’s Shield’s movement slow is now properly considered a Snare and can be removed by effects that remove movement impairing effects.
- Mana granted by Seal of Martydom to party and raid members has been increased. Seal of Martyrdom now grants all party and raid members 20% of damage the Paladin takes from the seal (was 10%).
Rogue
- Blade Dance has been updated to grant 10% parry at all ranks, rather than increasing parry chance per combo point. The only effect of more combo points is now increased duration.
Shaman
- Mana granted by Shamanistic Rage to party and raid members has been increased. Shamanistic Rage now grants party and raid members 20% of the mana gained by the Shaman (was 10%).

Professions
- Tailoring
- Tailors may now learn and craft Invoker’s Cord and Invoker’s Mantle. Both grant additional spell damage and healing. These recipes can be purchased from Borya in Orgrimmar or Elynna in Darnassus.
