It’s been a thrilling race to 60 for the fresh Hardcore progression servers in WoW Classic Anniversary Edition, and we now have our first level capped character! Zeroji of <OnlyFangs> on Doomhowl (US) has managed to accomplish this daring feat in less than five days.
The early race was led by last year’s winner, Vitochie, but he died to murlocs in Dustwallow Marsh at level 37 (clip here).
Ahmpy then took the lead, but he too met an untimely demise at level 54 due to an unfortunate disconnect while pulling undead mobs in Western Plaguelands (clip here).
Ahmpy’s guildmate Zeroji followed in the top spot, staying at least a few levels ahead of the next character for the final stretch of the race. Mages, Hunters, and Rogues crowded the top spots on the Leaderboards for the duration of the race, with one lone Shadow Priest, Savu, staying very close to the top. Lagging behind are Paladins and Warriors, with Druids, Shamans, and Warlocks in the middle of the pack.
The race to 60 may be drawing to a close, but the next big test is just a couple of weeks away, with the first raids of Vanilla WoW, Molten Core and Onyxia’s Lair, set to open on December 12th.
