DPS Caster Necklaces & Rings for Casuals (Shadowlands)

Here we outline some simple instructions on how to acquire rings and neck pieces for your character.

World Quests, Mission Table, Tribute Rewards, Korthia

Rings and neck items can be acquired through World Quests in Ardenweald, Bastion, Maldraxxus, and Revendreth at varying ilevels (based upon your current ilevel and Covenant Renown). Additionally a lot of the same trinkets, as well as different ones, can also be acquired through the Mission Table or from Tribute Rewards from Covenant Callings such as Tribute of the Paragon. Korthia rares, chests, and daily quests, can also reward players with 200-207 ilevel rings and necklaces.

It’s worth noting that item rewards from World Quests scale with your item level with a cap as to how high it can go based upon your Covenant Renown level, so as you continue to improve your gear and increase your renown it’s still beneficial to watch World Quests for rewards that may be better than what you currently have equipped even if it’s the same item.

Crafted Necks & Rings

There are four total rings and four total neck items available for players right now in Shadowlands, of which three of each type should be considered. We’ve listed them below, to make a determination on which to use for your specialization you should visit your class guide and look at the stat priority.

These items can also be crafted at 230 ilevel using Crafter’s Mark of the Chained Isle, but you can only wear one of those items at a time.

Neck

Masterful Phaedrum Necklace – Mastery

Deadly Sinvyr Necklace – Critical Strike

Rings

These items are Unique-Equipped, which means that for the rings you can not use the same ring in both ring slots.

PvP Necks & Rings

While some of these aren’t the best rings or neck items for PvE content, they are rather easy to obtain. These can be purchased with honor Honor, which can be relatively easily acquired through unrated battlegrounds. They start out at item level 177 and can be upgraded relatively inexpensively to higher item levels with additional Honor points.
