Dreamsurge Coalescence Farming & Rewards

Dragonflight introduced the Dreamsurge event, offering players a fun and interactive way of catching up and earning valuable loot by using the unique currency acquired by participating in the event, the Dreamsurge Coalescence.

The Dreamsurge event results from the growth of the new World Tree, Amirdrassil, sprouting its roots in the Emerald Dream. As Amirdrassil continues to grow, its energies seep through the Emerald Dream and surface in the Dragon Isles, impacting the entirety of the environment. At first, The Dreamsurge occurred through a map rotation, happening throughout all the zones of the Dragon Isles. As the War Within approaches, the Dreamsurge event seems to have stabilized itself in The Azure Span area.

Due to the nature of energies released by the World Tree, the landscape is affected alongside all living creatures that inhabit it. As such, World Quests and Rare Mobs are directly impacted by it, alongside the environment which spawns new interactable chests, floating Green Orbs that can be passed through to collect resources, and portals such as the Waking Dream that spawn mobs and can be closed by the players

The Dreamsurge also directly impacts the players upon entering the area, increasing all Experience gains by 25% while also rewarding better loot and a 100% Gold Drop increase from mobs and World Quests.

Dreamsurge Coalescence

Dreamsurge Coalescence is the main currency of the Dreamsurge Event and has two main uses. The first use is that of an Objective Item, serving as the main objective of the Shaping the Dreamsurge quest which rewards Dreamsurge Cradles and Cache of Dreams that can be used to acquire Gold, Materials, and Gear. The Gear that can be acquired with Dreamsurge Cradles from Archdruid Hammul Runetotem is Soulbound to the character that acquired the gear pieces!

The second use for Dreamsurge Coalescence is that of a direct currency, being used for buying personalized items for every class specialization, alongside a few toys and the Duskwing Ohuna mount. The items that can be acquired with Dreamsurge Coalescence serve as a catch-up mechanic, being Account Soulbound. The items can be acquired from Celestine of the Harvest with each item starting at Item Level 454, and being able to be freely traded between all characters of your Warband.

Dreamsurge Coalescence Farming

There are 3 main ways of acquiring Dreamsurge Coalescence! The most efficient ways of acquiring it are closing Waking Dream portals, killing Normal Mobs and Rare Mobs in World Quest areas, and flying through the Green Orbs that spawn randomly across the Dreamsurge area. You can also acquire Dreamsurge Coalescence by looting chests scattered across the area, but the chests are far less reliable.

Waking Dream

Waking Dream portals will spawn throughout the Dreamsurge-affected map areas, having Flame-imbued mobs guarding them! Those such portals can be closed by killing all the Mobs in the areas and the mobs that spawn out of the Waking Dream Portals. The Waking Dream portals can be easily found, as they are displayed by a specific icon on the map.

This method is considered somewhat difficult but rewarding when compared to the others.

Rare Mobs & World Quests

By far the easiest way to acquire Dreamsurge Coalescence is by completing the World Quests that pop up on the map alongside killing the Rare Mobs which are empowered by the Dreamsurge! Since both the mobs and the World Quests are indicated on the Map.

Each mob generally tends to drop one Dreamsurge Coalescence. however, the drop chance is not 100% guaranteed. Rare Mobs have a guaranteed chance of dropping at least 20 Dreamsurge Coalescence, alongside other goodies including items that could normally be bought from Celestine.

Green Orbs

Green Orbs are found throughout the areas affected by the Dreamsurge, spawning in various random locations. Those orbs can usually be found in the air or atop random buildings, making them quite difficult to spot. To gather them, you have to pass through them with your mount! Each Green Orb grants a random amount of Dreamsurge Coalescence, with multiple orbs sometimes spawning next to one another.
