Plunderstorm Season 2 Rewards Guide

Plunderstorm is a limited-event battle royale game that you can join from the World of Warcraft character selection screen or the Group Finder PvP tab. This event offers numerous rewards for your WoW characters as well as a few for Classic WoW, and some rewards that can be used within Plunderstorm itself.

This guide will cover all of the Plunderstorm rewards, where to get them, and how to get Plunder, the currency you will need to buy the rewards.

Plunder and the Plunderstore

As of Season 2, Plunderstorm rewards have been moved to the new Plunderstore, which can be accessed from the character selection screen in Plunderstorm or from the Group Finder PvP tab within World of Warcraft itself. Rewards are bought directly with the Plunder currency, which is acquired within the game mode.

How to Access the Plunderstore

There are a few different ways to open the Plunderstore:

• On the World of Warcraft character selection screen, select Mode in the top menu and switch to Plunderstorm. Then Click on Plunderstore in the top menu once you’ve loaded into the game mode.
• In retail World of Warcraft, open the Group Finder and click on the PvP tab on the bottom of the pane. Then click on Plunderstorm on the left side, and then look for the Plunderstore button on the right.
• Click on the round Plunderstore button on the top of your screen during a Plunderstorm match.

How to Get Plunder

Plunder can be earned in many different ways:

• Picking up piles of doubloons on the ground
• Opening Golden Chests
• Defeating enemies
• Completing Captain’s Orders quests

Note that plunder only counts once you finish the match, either by being eliminated or winning the game. You’ll lose all of your progress if you leave the game before then! So if you need to leave a game, you should find an enemy to kill you or run into the storm.

Keg Leg’s Crew Renown

Originally, Plunderstorm rewards were earned by gaining Renown with the Keg Leg’s Crew faction, a special reputation that was exclusive to the game mode. This reputation does not appear to serve any purpose as of Season 2.

Rewards

The table below lists all of the rewards that you can collect through Plunderstorm.

• The War Within rewards are available in World of Warcraft: The War Within.
  • Appearances can be used at the Transmogrifier.
  • Trader’s Tender can be looted from the Collector’s Cache at the Trading Post.
  • Mounts, pets, and toys can be found in your Collections.
• Plunderstorm rewards are available for use in Plunderstorm itself.
  • Speak with Da’kash Grimledger in Brew Bay to change your appearance or summon a pet.
• Cataclysm Classic rewards are available in World of Warcraft Classic: Cataclysm.
  • You’ll find both rewards in your Collections.
  • These rewards are not available for Classic Era, Classic Hardcore, Season of Discovery, or Anniversary Edition.

Now here are the rewards! Unless otherwise noted, all rewards from Season 1 are now available in the Plunderstore for Season 2.

Quest

It’s currently unclear whether this reward is still in the game as of Season 2.

In Season 1, of the rewards that could be earned through the Renown system was A Keg-Stamped Package, which automatically started a quest the next time you played a level 70 character in Dragonflight. Turning in this quest also unlocked Da’kash Grimledger as a vendor in World of Warcraft. You would also get 15 Keg-Stamped Coins to spend on his items. Here’s what he sells:

• Blackened Flightstone (1 Keg-Stamped Coin)
• Clutch of Wyrm’s Dreaming Crests (3 Keg-Stamped Coins)
• Large Satchel of Drake’s Dreaming Crests (2 Keg-Stamped Coins)

Title

Again it’s unclear whether this reward is still obtainable in Season 2. In Season 1, one of the rewards that was earned through the Renown system was this title. It’s not currently available in the Plunderstore.

Mounts

Mounts are not useable in Plunderstorm, only in World of Warcraft. There is one mount that can also be used in Cataclysm Classic: Polly Roger.

Pets

All pets can be used in Plunderstorm or World of Warcraft. There is one pet that can also be used in Cataclysm Classic: Bubbles.

Toys

Both of the toys can be used in World of Warcraft. A Tiny Plumed Tricorne is a costume for Pepe the bird which can be used in Plunderstorm as well. Pepe can be summoned in Plunderstorm by speaking with Da’kash Grimledger.

Trader’s Tender

Plunder can be traded for the Trader’s Tender currency in World of Warcraft. Trader’s Tender can be spent on additional cosmetic rewards through the Trading Post.

This set was previously earned through the Renown system in Season 1. It’s not currently available in the Plunderstore for Season 2.
