The Ringing Deeps holds many secrets, among them, the Scary Dark Chest and the Oop’lajax pet! To acquire the Oop’lajax pet, players must complete a puzzle that involves a Scary Dark Chest and a few misplaced Kobold Candles.
How to Complete the Scary Dark Chest Puzzle
Firstly, you must reach The Ringing Deeps and head to Gundargaz! Once you are in Gundargaz, head to the second crossroad east of Gundargaz.
The Ringing Deeps Scary Dark Chest Map Location
Once you reach the area, you will see the Scary Dark Chest, surrounded by a large number of Candle Stubs! To open the Scary Dark Chest, you will have to light all of the 10 nearby Candle Stubs as quickly as possible, making sure that all 10 candles are lit before the first Candle Stub that you interacted with snuffs out.
The order in which you choose to light the candles doesn’t matter at all, as you can choose to start either from the left side or the right side of the chest.

Once you light up all the 10 Candle Stubs, you will be able to open the Scary Dark Chest, receiving 150 Reputation with The Assembly of the Deeps faction and the Oop’lajax pet!
