Sureki War Chest Looted & Dropping Eaves: Spoils of War Quest Guide

City Rumors are similar to daily quests that are obtained through The Severed Threads Pacts. They can be found by purchasing Rumor Maps, which mark certain NPCs on your map who will give you bonus objectives to perform inside the City of Threads. One of the possible bonus objectives you can get is Dropping Eaves: Spoils of War. Some players have found this to be a particularly tricky one to complete, so we’ve put together this quick guide to help you out!

Have a Drink and Eavesdrop

For the first step of this bonus objective, you’ll be directed to the tavern in the Umbral Bazaar, behind the Skittering Lounge inn where Sauciere Drook, the Cooking Trainer, is located (47.6, 24.4).

There’s a Cup of Shell Juice on the counter; click on it to have a drink. Stick around while you sip your beverage and a Sureki Ironweave and Sureki Grunt will have a conversation nearby. When they leave, the step will be marked as complete.

Here’s where many players run into trouble. Currently, the UI points to the wrong location for this step. It will mark the Old Sacrificial Pit on your map, which is on the opposite end of the city from where this step can actually be completed.

Instead of going there, head to the High Hollows in the northeast corner of the city. Keep in mind that the guards here will be hostile if you have not reached at least Crony rank with The Weaver, but you can still complete the objective even if this is the case.

The building you’re looking for is called Ascended Solutions, and it’s one of the small towers (68.1, 33.2). You’ll know it’s the right building because it will have an NPC named Van’atka inside (it may help to type /tar Van'atka and set a target marker to spot their location). Note that the objective is inside the tower itself and not in the room that is tucked underneath it on the lower tier.

There will be two chests just to the left of the door as you enter. The closer one is the Sureki War Chest. Loot it to complete the objective and recieve 3 gold, 40 silver plus 50 Kej and 5 Valorstones.
