As The War Within progresses, more and more content is available, including new and exciting Raid Quests! The Finer Things is a new Raid Quest tied to Nerub-ar Palace, introduced to aid hardcore raiders and hasten the defeat of Ansurek’s army.
Where to Acquire The Finer Things Quest
Unlike some of the Raid Quests in WoW that require you to complete an elaborate chain quest to become eligible for picking up the quest, The Finer Things Quest is conveniently placed at the entrance of the Nerub-Ar Palace! The quest doesn’t take up space in your Quest Log and is offered by Anub’azal‘s image in the initial chamber of the raid. You can quickly spot the transmitter which projects his image on the right side of the room as you enter the raid.
The quest will have the typical “Daily Quest” question mark!
The Finer Things Quest Walkthrough & Rewards
The Finer Things quest requires you to gather 16 x Nerub’ar Finery which acts as a currency and has a weekly cap! At the moment of writing this article, the current Nerub’ar Finery cap is 8 per week, with the item functioning similarly to other currencies, meaning that you can freely trade them within your Warband.
The Nerub’ar Finery can be obtained by killing bosses in the Nerub-ar Palace raid on either Heroic or Mythic difficulty, with each boss granting you 1 x Nerub’ar Finery. It is possible to complete 6 bosses on Heroic Difficulty to obtain 6x Nerub’ar Finery and complete 2 bosses on Mythic Difficulty to obtain the rest of the 2x Nerub’ar Finery to reach the cap, in case you have difficulty progressing through the raids.
The Finer Things quest is repeatable and can be completed up to 8 times! Each time you complete the quest, it offers you a buff called the Severed Strands, increasing the total Damage and Healing done while in Nerub-ar Palace by a flat percent. You may stack the buff up to an 18% increased Damage & Healing done in Nerub-ar Palace.
Players who are late to completing the quest and stacking the buff will be glad to find out that a catch-up mechanic is planned, allowing them to benefit from it even if they start completing the quest later on.
