- Expansion: World of Warcraft
With The War Within approaching its official launch, players can’t wait to battle new opponents and acquire powerful and cool-looking new equipment! The War Within continues using the PvP Vendors System, offering players many opportunities to gain powerful equipment, upgrade it, and even buy interesting contraptions and cosmetics.
In this guide, we will cover everything there is to know about The War Within PvP, ranging from PvP Currencies, PvP Vendors and Gear Costs, Item Upgrade Costs, the War Mode, PvP Title & Mount rewards, and even the new Rated Battleground Blitz rewards!
PvP Currencies
Four different types of PvP currency can be currently acquired in The War Within:
- Honor – This currency can be earned from any type of PvP activity, up to a maximum of 4000 Honor Cap.
- Conquest – This currency can be earned from Rated PvP activities such as Rated Battlegrounds, Rated Arenas, Weekly PvP Quests, and Daily Quests. It can also be earned from War Supply Chests. You can acquire up to a maximum of 5200 Conquest Cap.
- Bloody Tokens – This currency can be earned from any War Mode activity. It can also be earned from War Supply Chests. You can acquire up to a total maximum of 200,000 Bloody Tokens.
- Mark of Honor – This currency can be earned from Weekly PvP Quests and multiple crates such as the Glorious Contender’s Strongbox or directly bought from Velerd in exchange for Honor.
PvP Vendors
The PvP Vendors for The War Within are in Dornogal, inside the Contender’s Gate at the 56.6, 75.1 coordinates. Unlike the PvP Hub in Dragonflight, Gladiator’s Refuge, the PvP Vendors in The War Within are split into two different chambers inside the Contender’s Gate area. The Hub is vastly more spacious compared to its previous Dragonflight iteration, offering players much more room to practice and wander around.
There are three main PvP Vendors: Velerd (Honor Quartermaster), Lalandi (Conquest Quartermaster), and Gilderann (War Mode Quartermaster). Additionally, there are multiple other vendors such as Hotharn which sells crafting recipes, Maara which sells War Mode supplies, and Rogurn which serves as the Elite Conquest Quartermaster. Furthermore, just like in Shadowlands and Dragonflight, there is an NPC named Ledonir who offers the possibility of upgrading items.
On the left side of the Contender’s Gate, you will be able to find Velerd, Lalandi, Gilderann, and Hotharn at the 55.4, 76.8 coordinates while at the right side of the Contender’s Gate, you will be able to find Maara, Rogurn, and Ledonir at the 59.9, 69.9 coordinates.

thank you for this
hi
what about starting pvp gear , can we buy it ??? make it or do we just go into pvp battlegrounds with normal gear on ,
What sets are available for making , or gold prior to venturing into battlegrounds ??
You will be able to buy the Algari Competitor’s Crafted Gear! The recipes can be bought from Hotharn in case you wish to craft them yourself. You will most likely find the Auction House full of PvP items that you can directly purchase and use.No matter which class you play, all the Crafted PvP items start with the “Algari Competitor” name, which makes it easy to find them on the Auction House for your specific Class!
Can you still turn in marks of honor for honor?
