Blizzard is continuing their frantic content release schedule by announcing that the next Dragonflight patch will arrive on May 7th, with the new Mists of Pandaria Remix coming 9 days later.
With Season 4 of Dragonflight launching tomorrow, this will give players a two-week window to explore the content included with the new season before the next patch lands. Here’s the current release schedule for the next 28 days of World of Warcraft:
- April 23 – Dragonflight Season 4
- April 30 – Plunderstorm Ends
- April 30 – Cataclysm Classic Pre-Patch
- May 7 – Dragonflight 10.2.7 Dark Heart
- May 16 – Mists of Pandaria Remix
- May 20 – Cataclysm Classic Launch
The timing of the Pandaria Remix, four days before the launch of Cataclysm Classic, is rather surprising. (We talked a bit about this in our editorial Where Does Cataclysm Classic Fit, and Who Will Play It?) It will be interesting to see how the broader World of Warcraft community adjusts to so much content being released in such a short window of time, and where the players ultimately land when the dust settles.
Today is the last day of Dragonflight Season 3. Tomorrow we will see a new rotation of Mythic+ dungeons, Awakened raids, and the start of a new PvP season.
On May 7th, we’ll see the release of Patch 10.2.7 Dark Heart, which contains the quest chains for Draenei and Troll heritage armor, new hair colors for Kul Tiran Humans, updates to hunter pet stables, the removal of Renown requirements for Dragonflight quests, a new quest chain in Bel’ameth, and lots of updates to the UI, particularly the Premade Group Finder.
The Pandaria Remix lands on May 16th, letting you explore the content from the Mists of Pandaria expansion in its entirety at an accelerated pace, with all of the quality of life features and abilities you have in Dragonflight and all new rewards and achievements. This is a new game mode akin to Plunderstorm, played separately from Dragonflight but within the same launcher. Unlike Plunderstorm, however, your characters in the Pandaria Remix will be carried over to your main World of Warcraft account when the event ends. You’ll need an active World of Warcraft subscription to play the Remix, but not the Dragonflight expansion.
Mark your calendars for the release of the next content update for Dragonflight—Dark Heart— on May 7, and for the World of Warcraft Remix: Mists of Pandaria event on May 16 at 10:00 am PDT globally!
