A new press release on April 11th, 2022, Activision Blizzard has announced that the company is appointed Kristen Hines as the new Chief of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion alongside a statement CEO Bobby Kotick that “Activision Blizzard has ambitious goals to become the most welcoming and inclusive company in the gaming industry”. This direction of growth is clearly motivated by the events associated with the scandal in the previous year or so, having the potential to make significant changes in the company and to the gaming industry as a whole.

Hines previously worked for Accenture, leading their Global Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity practice, also sitting on the firm’s global leadership team for the CEO Transformation practice. The position that Hines is stepping in to was not held by anyone else previously. She state’s that “In a industry with historical underrepresentation, I’m looking forward to leading the company’s efforts to further build a workplace that values transparency, equity, and inclusivity.” Hine’s interest in connecting people in the gaming community throughout the world provides some promise in Activision Blizzard’s recent attempts to move towards fostering a more inclusive culture within the company and specifically seeing more non-binary and female workers supported in contributing to the company.

Damn, we’re fu..ed. I read the title of the job and think of all the franchises destroyed because of ‘The Message’. We had a ugliest Diablo2 remake ever, with the Amazon looking like Willem Defoe.
Thanks to “The Message’ we got The Last of Us 2, Event Horizon – the ugly and on the cinema site every franchise destroyed that was a money printing machine for decades.

I hope i’m wrong, but every time ‘woke’ got something to say it got worse …
