TGP Format Changes in The War Within™

TGP 2025 features new format updates compared to previous years, primarily focused on the Group Stages commencing on January 31. These changes are designed to keep the action exciting throughout all broadcast stages of the tournament, and we’re excited to see it play out through the Season.

  • Each TGP Group will now feature eight teams, meaning the top sixteen teams will advance from the Time Trials.
  • In the Group Stage, the eight teams per group will be split into two sets of four. On Day one and two of each Group, these teams will compete in three keystones, with the top two of each day advancing to Day three. On day three, the scores of the four remaining teams will reset, and they’ll face three new keystones to determine who wins.
  • Two teams will advance from each TGP Group, joined by two from China to make up a six-team Global Final.
  • The Global Finals will follow the traditional TGP format, with all six teams competing simultaneously. They will compete for three days until we have a winner!
