The latest content update for Shadowlands unlocks today, June 29th, and brings with it a whole bunch of new quests, rewards, and balance changes, plus some neat QoL stuff like text-to-speech in chat and voice transcription. As of time of writing, patch 9.1 is slated to go live at 3PM PDT.
The new content will roll out over the next couple of months. Here’s what the first two weeks will look like:
Week 1
Personal Mythic+ Rating system becomes visible
The new zone Korthia (content includes daily/weekly quests, rare spawns, two new factions: Archivist’s Codex and Death’s Advance) becomes available
Covenant Assaults become available
Torghast Updates (Torment revamp, Box of Many Things, removal of Death Counter)
Layer 9 of Torghast becomes available
Darkmoon Faire returns
Class tuning and new PvP talents
Renown 43 becomes available
Castle Nathria and Season 1 Mythic+ Achievements will still be obtainable
Week 2
Shadowlands Flying becomes available to players who have completed the Renown 44 campaign chapter
Renown 46 becomes available
Sanctum of Domination Raid (with Sylvanas Windrunner as final boss) opens, includes new Shards of Domination System
Season 2 of Shadowlands begins for PvP Mythic+ July 6th, with new affix Tormented
Dungeon and Mythic+ rewards increased by 26 item levels
8 Boss Mega-Dungeon Tazavesh, the Veiled Market opens
Castle Nathria and Season 1 Mythic+ Achievements will no longer be obtainable
