Warcraft I and II Remastered Now Available

warcraft remastered

The existence of a Warcraft II Remaster project was discovered last week when the internal alpha was spotted on Blizzard’s CDNs. But it seems that Blizzard had even more than that up their sleeve for Warcraft’s 30th Anniversary: both Warcraft II and Warcraft: Orcs and Humans have been remastered, and both are available to play right now.

Both games feature new hand-drawn graphics, although you can still opt for the original graphics as well. They have also both received UI and UX improvements. Warcraft I has been updated with some new controls and a faster game speed. Warcraft II’s multiplayer is fully functional, and all legacy maps should work in the remaster.

The games can also be obtained in a new version of the Warcraft Battle Chest, that also includes the newly improved Warcraft III Reforged.

I've been playing World of Warcraft on and off since vanilla, usually as a healer or caster and often as a guild leader. I play both retail and classic. I also love RPGs, sandboxes, and sims.
