WoW Hotfix February 23rd: Increased Treasures

Compared to yesterday, today’s patch features a much larger batch of changes and fixes, mostly focused on the new zone, but with a few fixes oriented toward specific class issues.

Priest’s receive a fix to their Shadow Word: Death dealing one-third of the intended bonus damage to targets below 20%, as well as buffs to their Power Overwhelming and Prolonged Infusion anima traits. The former now causes all abilities to cost zero mana during the effect, and resets Mind Blast and Holy Fire cooldowns; while the latter now also extends the Power Overwhelming effect itself.

Warlock’s Sayaad pacts will properly persist even when you die, and the quest to change your Sayaad will now be available even if your Sayaad is glyphed into a different appearance.

Achieving 80 renown is now possible through any source, rather than specifically the anima weekly or Shaping Fate weekly.

In Zereth Mortis the Cypher-Bound Chests, Mawsworn Supply Chests, Tarachnid Eggs, Avian Nests, Discarded Automa Scrap, and Forgotten Treasure Vaults treasures will now spawn more frequently. The Annelids for the ‘Annelid-ilation’ world quest will also spawn more frequently. The world quest for Antros now also lets players use the LFG function.

Classes

Priest
- Fixed an issue that caused Shadow Word: Death to only deal 50% bonus damage instead of 150% bonus damage while targets were below 20% health.
Warlock
- Pacts forged with your Incubus or Succubus will now persist through death and other inconveniences.
- Fixed an issue where the Summon Sayaad quest, “Whatever You Sayaad,” would not be available if the Warlock’s Succubus was transformed via a glyph.

Covenants

Renown levels 79 and 80 can now be earned from any source of Renown, rather than having to be earned from the quests “Replenishing the Reservoir” or “Shaping Fate.”

Creatures and NPCs

The looking for group icon will now appear for players attempting to complete the world quest to defeat Antros.

Items and Rewards

The following repeatable treasures now appear more frequently in Zereth Mortis:
- Cypher-Bound Chest
- Mawsworn Supply Chest
- Tarachnid Eggs
- Avian Nest
- Discarded Automa Scrap
- Forgotten Treasure Vault
The Firim in Exile volumes now spawn instantly.
Fixed an issue which prevented Shard of Domination tooltips from greying out in areas where they don’t function.
Interacting with Lore Concordances will no longer create a frostbolt visual.

Quests

Annelids now spawn more quickly for the world quest “Annelid-ilation.”
